Duties and Responsibilities
• Legal Assistant III shall conduct an initial review of pertinent documents (such as MOA and MOU) that requires appropriate action from the Director of Legal Affairs for its validity, completeness, and conformance with the applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
• Conduct analysis of cases as may be encountered by the office.
• Draft and proofread correspondence and legal documents such as communication letters, pleadings, motions, and contracts.
• Collect, examine, and organize data, information, and other legal documents for review and case preparation.
• Research regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with preparing reports, files, and legal advice.
• Ensure proper, effective, and efficient records management of all files, documents, data, and information maintained by the Legal Affairs Office.
• Assist in the evaluation of the university’s compliance with data privacy, laws, rules and regulations.
